With over 20 years of experience in the Advertising and Media industry, he has worked with leading advertising agencies and broadcasters. He has a wealth of media experience. He began his career with Interact Vision in 1991 and went on to work with some reputed names in the media Industry like Enterprise Advertising, Grey, Lowe Lintas and JWT Fulcrum before moving to the broadcasting Industry.

Before joining TVF, Vijay was associated withReliance Broadcast Network and Future Media Group as The All India Sales Head. He washeld responsible for driving revenue along with profitability growth and handling the overall operations in India for Big Magic and Big FM, Reliance Broadcast Network. He was also part of Sony Entertainment Television for four years as the Senior Vice-President forthe English channels. The sales expert has also worked for ESPN – Star Sports as the Sales Director.

Pankaj Krishna

Pankaj Krishna – Founder & CEO – CHROME DATA ANALYTICS & MEDIA

With over 18 years of experience in the media space, Pankaj Krishna, an industry veteran, has worn many hats. Having completed his O Levels from the University of London, Pankaj finished an executive education programme from Harvard Business School. While his entrepreneurial journey began in 2008, Pankaj has learnt the ropes of the media industry at some of the best brands in the business – India Today, National Geographic, Star India – before going on to be the business head of UTV India. Pankaj started Chrome DM in 200 to bridge the gaps in broadcast distribution he had experienced in his stints with channels. Today, he oversees a tech-driven market research company that has clients from broadcasting, telecom, automotive sector, FMCGs, Government bodies and others.

Atul Madan

Senior Vice President & Head – Digital Services – Mahindra Comviva

Atul has over 20 years of experience and has held a variety of senior executive roles in the software and telecom domains. At Mahindra Comviva, Atul heads the Digital Services business unit which focuses on leveraging the mobile to develop world-class lifestyle solutions spanning music, video, and content and digital services for diverse geographies – Middle East, Africa, Europe, Latin America and South Asia. With an emphasis on driving product innovation while balancing business imperatives, Atul has helped grow Comviva’s digital services business, which contributes 35% to Mahindra Comviva’s business.

Previously, Atul was responsible for growing Mahindra Comviva’s footprint in Africa. In his role as VP of Airtel Africa, Atul helped expand Comviva’s presence in 17 new countries and was responsible for growing Comviva’s Managed Services and Mobile Financial Services business.

Prior to that, Atul was instrumental in developing and growing Mahindra Comviva’s Mobile Advertising and Digital Services infrastructure solutions spanning Messaging, Call Management, and Roaming.
Before joining Mahindra Comviva, Atul worked with Daewoo Telecom, India, where he developed and delivered telecom and datacom products.

Atul has wide experience of PSTN, 3G, CDMA and ATM Switching Systems and has been responsible for developing products in the areas of IP Switching, Routing and X.25.

Stanley Fernandes

Sales Director – BBC Studios

Stanley Fernandes is the Sales Director for BBC Studios Ltd.He is in charge of content sales to all linear channels and digital platforms in India and the subcontinent; driving growth for content sales, revenue and brand exposure with broadcasters and digital platforms.

Stanley has been working in the India media industry for the past 23 years. Prior to joining BBC Studios, Stanley held various positions in the media sector; his last role was with Disney Media Distribution.

At BBC Stanley has been responsible for introducing some of BBCs key brands to viewers across the country; the most recent being BBC First on Zee Café (a branded block that showcases the best of British drama), CBeebies on Zee Q (a branded block that featured content from the world’s most trusted kids brand), Doctor Who on Star (bringing the cult-classic, British fictional character show to India) to name a few.

Stanley started his career as a journalist, followed by a production stint at UTV, producing and developing content for in-flight entertainment. He is a Sociology graduate from St. Xavier’s College with a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from Welingkar Institute of Management.

Vishwalok Nath

Vishwalok Nath is a digital media professional with 19+ years of experience across Media, Software & Digital companies. He’s worked with organizations like Times Internet Ltd, Hughes Software Systems etc and is currently Heading Strategic Alliances, Business Development & Syndications for India Today Group Digital. An entrepreneur at heart he’s been instrumental in launching the Indiatimes Hotspots the first ever Internet zones in Malls and coffee shops by TIL way back in 2004.

In his current role, he is responsible for all the strategic alliances, BD functions and content licensing of India Today Group’s 4 TV channels, 38 magazines, newspaper, images, music, digital magazines, Live TV & videos across the world to media houses, telcos, OTT/IPTV players etc. He is also leading the business of Mobile Tak, which is India Today Group’s foray into Digital First, Mobile First & Video First content. Currently, there are 9 Digital first channels in Mobile Tak viz: News Tak, Sports Tak, Astro Tak, Bharat Tak, Mumbai Tak, Life Tak, Tech Tak, Food Tak & Fit Tak. He’s a passionate leader and has been instrumental in growing the digital business multi-folds in his last 8 years in the India Today Group.

Nirvana Digital also operates one of the largest YouTube Networks in Asia – monetizing and providing Content ID and Rights Management for over 1.2 million videos.

Pinakin has founded two other businesses including a Mobile Application and Development company (Mobile Media Pvt. Ltd), and an Online Media Planning and Mobile Messaging company (Digizen Communications Pvt Ltd).

Akash has worked across various spectrums like Digital, Sports, General Entertainment & business integration (post-acquisition) and led teams(marketing & cross-functional) with the aim of gaining market & mindshare.

An alumnus of Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) Delhi, Akash started his career in sales & marketing working for top-notch organizations like Pepsi & Marico straddling different geographies in the country. Soumini Sridhara Paul is Vice President of the Talent and Independent content platform,Artist Aloud (Hungama Digital Media Ent. Pvt. Ltd.). Launched in January 2010, Soumini has spearheaded the set up of Artist Aloud, South Asia’s premier digital platform for established and new talent with independent audio and video content along with a dedicated team. She also is Head of Operations and Content Development for Kids and other channels on YouTube and Special Content Creation and Event IP projects for Hungama. One of her pet projects is the channel she is building along with a wonderful team for Hungama Kids creating content which is age appropriate, entertaining and educational. Among her many contributions, Archana has also crafted key partnerships across leading telcos.

Prior to this, she was Director & Head Information and Entertainment Services at Onmobile Global, where amongst other things, she launched and drove to success products like ‘Help me on Mobile’-a safety app, that attracted much Media coverage because of the topicality in the time of Nirbhaya.

Archana has a management degree from IIM Bangalore and was awarded the ‘Inspiring Women Leaders’ Award by Synergian.

Sameer Gogate

Head of Monetization & Distribution – VIU

A seasoned media professional with over a decade and half years of experience in media and entertainment industry. In his current role at Viu, the premium global video on demand platform Sameer heads Monetization and Distribution for Viu. In his short span of a year, he has built innovative model of Distribution & Monetisation for the digital platform from bringing ‘international format to India like ‘Hollywood Squares’ to playing a key role in taking the ‘No.1 Yaari’ franchise to multiple languages.

In his earlier roles, Sameer has been an integral part of the team that launched COLORS and been instrumental in setting up the film division at Endemol. He has worked across broadcast media, movie production and acquisition, content production and syndication.

Saurabh Varma


With 20 plus years of experience in the Filmed Entertainment space; SAURABH VARMA is perhaps the only professional in Bollywood who’s worked in both the Creative side as a Film Writer-Director, as well as the Content side, as a Marketer, Distributor & Film Programmer. Saurabh has worked in senior-most positions in top Corporates including RELIANCE Entertainment as Chief Marketing Officer, in PVR as Vice President Marcom and in INOX as VP Film Distribution and Programming. He then left the commerce side of the business and wrote/directed films including MICKEY VIRUS & 7 HOURS TO GO and also marketed films including Saheb Biwi aur Gangster and the recently released biopic Poorna. He is also the chairman Events for Indian Film and Television Directors Association (IFTDA)

Saurabh Varma has been a part of marketing & releasing more than 500 films in almost all languages of the country. He has recently delved into Content Creation for the OTT space where his last short web-flick LONELY GIRL starring Riya Sen received more than 2.5 million views. Saurabh not just develops, designs and creates content but he also designs its marketing strategy, posters, thumbnails etc. He presently has more than half a dozen Web Flick Concepts ready to be launched in the digital space.

Sunil Nair

Sunil Nair is currently Chief Operating Officer at ALTBalaji responsible for Business Development, Alliances, Platform, Technology, Operations and Big Data Inference Engines.
Sunil setup the India’s first online video distribution platform – Nautanki.tv. He has held leadership positions in Reliance Jio, Star TV & OneChannel Media LLC. He is active in the startup circle as an advisor and mentor.

Sunil loves traveling, writes sporadically and enjoys single origin coffee. He has written a few books, been responsible for starting two literary movements – The Pune Lit Circle and The Mumbai Writers Cafe now called Caferati and was a research assistant for a doctoral Ph.D. thesis on the ‘Theatre of the Absurd’.

He is an avid storyteller, especially to his daughter who adores his ‘bed time stories’ that revolve around the adventures of a little girl call Tarakshi and her pet crow called Kaa. These stories are being currently converted into a series of books for parents of little kids.

He is usually found baking and cooking for his family in his spare time in order to unwind.
